Newest Hotels & Casinos on the Las Vegas Strip – The Aria

Let me start by saying that I have no financial interest and neither am I working for Aria in any way. I’m just the one who was offered a comp to go and visit.

What an amazing place. The Aria opened in mid-December 2009 and has 61 floors with 4,000 rooms and is located in Downtown, a 67-acre town within the city on the strip. The Aria features eighteen restaurants, numerous nightclubs and lounges, a showroom theater that can accommodate up to 1850 guests, great shopping, a banking center, a state-of-the-art fitness center, salon, some of the most beautiful waterfalls and 4 swimming pools. swimming pool. It has its own tram that connects to Bellagio and Monte Carlo. Aria has art from world class artists from all over the world. The difference with this art compared to other casinos on the strip is that most of the other casino art collections are in a few dedicated rooms but world class art is everywhere at Aria for all guests to enjoy. Aria is part of the “new world” City Center, a huge venture on the Las Vegas strip. There are many other buildings within the City Center that offer facilities to all who visit or live within the City Center, this is just one building. This review will focus on hotel rooms but I want to set the background for this review.

ARIA RESORT & CASINO

When we entered the hotel we didn’t know what to expect but we had some ideas of what to be there as we have been going to the Las Vegas strip for years and have stayed in most of the big casinos.

We entered The Aria. It was large and full of marble and stone with new age decor. New age simplicity seems to be the dominant theme of the hotel-casino. We were given the room key on the 37th floor and when we opened the door all we did was laugh! The door opens, the curtains automatically open to reveal stunning views of the strip and mountains, the TV enters the relaxation channel, the heat is turned on to reach the optimal comfort zone, and the lights are on. Now you have to remember, this is done by simply opening the door.

Everything in the room can be controlled by remote control or by the bedside controls displayed on the flat-screen TV. You don’t have to get out of bed to do anything but shower and go to the bathroom and I’m looking into how they can achieve that – just kidding! Once again, the room was dressed in new-age simplicity with a comfortable room size for two. The bathroom was lovely with the tub on the side of the shower in the same enclosure.

The room was cleaned daily but only if you turned on the sign outside your door – of course, controlled by the remote shown on the TV. Now why is this important? Have you ever gone into a hotel room where housekeeping knocked on your door, shouted “housekeeping” or worse shouted and then walked in? Not going to happen in The Aria. When you are ready to clean your room, you tell them. The bed was “turned down” every night with chocolates by the bed.

Hotel Aria Resort & Casino, Las Vegas

I can’t begin to tell you how friendly the employees were during our stay at The Aria. As I stated before, we have stayed in almost every casino on the strip and The Aria staff cannot compare to how helpful and friendly they are. Not once did I ask a question that the staff didn’t have a helpful answer to and genuinely seemed happy to answer.

Now the important part of living – gambling. I have a strong belief that new casinos don’t pay well for your gambling efforts because they have to start paying off all the money invested in building a beautiful casino, so I’m always a bit suspicious of gambling. To my surprise, I won a reasonable amount of money on the slots! Beautiful rooms, beautiful hotel casino and friendly staff – what more could you ask for?

Now you’re wondering if there’s anything I don’t like. Well, yes there is. Aria is hard to find. We drove up to what we thought was the front of The Aria but that’s not the front of the hotel and since it’s not the front of the hotel there is no luggage service. Aria seeps to the top and needs to have a maid at every entry. Other than that little detail, there’s nothing negative to report and trust me, I’m always looking for things to go wrong. Tough time with this hotel-casino.

I don’t think I need to tell you that I would recommend The Aria for a fun, lovely place to escape for a few days. How do you get quotes for comps? If and when you go to Las Vegas, use the cards they give you to play. They track how much you spend and no, you don’t have to spend a fortune to get comps. They really give you good deals. Enjoy your stay at The Aria, I know we did and we will be back.
